According to People, the Dia de los Muertos collectible will be released ahead of the upcoming Mexican holiday, which will be celebrated from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 this year.

During the multi-day fest, which translates to Day of the Dead in English, friends and family gather to pray for those who have died, creating colorful ofrendas, or altars, in honor of the dead.

The new Barbie pays tribute to the occasion by dressing in a long black gown adorned with yellow and red butterflies. She is wearing an elaborate headpiece with butterflies over her two long black twists, and her face is painted in a traditional skull mask, which symbolizes death and rebirth.

The doll will be available at Walmart and Amazon beginning Sept. 12.
