A couple in Canada is gearing up to welcome home their quadruplets as their one-year wedding anniversary nears.

Bethani and Tim Webb, of Hythe, Canada, married in June 2015. They later learned that they would be welcoming four baby girls.

"It was a good thing that my husband was sitting down because he almost fainted," mom Bethani Webb, 22, told CBC News.

The Webbs, of Hythe, Alberta, welcomed Abigail, Emily, Grace and McKayla on May 6. The baby girls weighed between 3 pounds and 4 pounds 1 ounce. They were born in Edmonton by cesarean section.

"Right now I'm glad they're separated so we can tell them apart," Bethani Webb told CTV News a few days after the birth. "Even just holding two side by side, I can't tell them apart at all."

Although conceiving quadruplets has become more common with fertility treatments, a nurse told the Webbs that the odds of naturally conceiving quadruplets are one in 67 million, according to InsideOttawaValley.com.

"My heart was just pounding," dad Tim Webb, 23, told CBC News. "I felt as if it was a magic show. It was one baby, two babies, three babies and then four babies. It was a surreal kind of thing."

The quadruplets are expected to be released from the hospital this week.
