Guan said she’d had some stomach problems in recent months, but a pregnancy test and doctor’s visit had failed to detect a pregnancy.

Guan suddenly developed stomach pain during the flight, and boyfriend Wesley Branch said Guan indicated something had “fallen out of her.” He took a peek and saw a head and heard a baby’s cry.

Doctors on board the flight helped deliver the baby. Mother and child were rushed to the hospital after the flight landed, and both are reported to be doing well.
