No one expects a gourmet meal at the airport, but one man’s miserable culinary experience at an Edinburgh Airport restaurant has quickly gone viral.
Reddit user spambox posted an image of a dry looking roll, with a tiny piece of meat and a minuscule egg. The Reddit user claims the bacon and egg roll was purchased from a restaurant called EAT.
Reddit users were quick to sound off on the pathetic-looking sandwich. Some users wondered if the egg was from a hummingbird.
The person who purchased the sandwich didn’t complain to management because they assumed it was just typical overpriced airport food.
The Scotsman posted a statement from an Edinburgh Airport spokesperson, who said, "We work closely with all of our food and beverage providers to ensure we offer customers the best choice of refreshments and service. Sadly on this occasion we fell below the mark and offer our apologies to this customer. Clearly this is not the service we should be providing and we will be addressing this complaint with EAT."
