Q: I am an avid listener to WSB Radio, and for years have enjoyed Jamie Dupree’s daily insights. He has not been on lately and I was wondering why?

—Bob Chaapel, Norcross

A: Dupree's voice "is on the disabled list," he told Q&A on the News in an email, but he has pre-recorded stories from the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.

He wants to do the same at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia next week.

“Hopefully my voice can get back to 100 percent soon,” Dupree wrote.

Dupree, who is covering his 14th major party convention, is writing his “Washington Insider” blog at wsbradio.com and “doing my usual stuff on Twitter and Facebook.”

“My fingers still work,” he wrote.

Q: Harmony Grove Road, which connects Rockbridge Road with Lawrenceville Highway, has been closed to through traffic for at least two months. What is the problem and is there a projected date for when it will be fixed (if ever)?

—Betty Ballinger, Tucker

A: Harmony Grove Road is scheduled to open on Aug. 5, a Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources spokeswoman told Q&A on the News.

The road has been closed since May 30 for drainage and culvert improvements.

The detour route takes drivers to U.S. 29/Lawrenceville Highway to Rockbridge Road to Harmony Grove Road, gwinnettcounty.com states.
