Q: A lot of us were excited when Steve McCoy came back on NewsRadio 106.7, but now we’re wondering why he left?
—Jean Stewart, Decatur
A: NewsRadio 106.7 let McCoy go on Oct. 16 after he reused an old interview with Donald Trump and "advertised it as new" earlier that week, The AJC reported.
McCoy, who initially was suspended, used an interview with Trump from several years ago, when he was working for another station and played it on-air on Oct. 13.
“For obvious reasons Steve McCoy no longer works at the station. Cheryl White, Drew Nelson and Randy Wyles will continue to provide Atlanta with a high energy news product that accentuates breaking news as well as in depth coverage on the top stories,” program director Greg Tantum wrote in a statement on Oct. 16.
Q: What is the music that accompanies the Kyocera commercial on TV?
—Lynn Stitt, Snellville
A: "Aralia Spinosa" is the song, which was recorded by the group Tango Alpha Tango.
The Kyocera commercial features “Aralia Spinosa” as an instrumental, but the song has lyrics and was included on Tango Alpha Tango’s self-titled album, released in 2011.
There are versions of “Aralia Spinosa” on YouTube.
