Q: Regarding MSNBC, I haven’t seen Luke Russert since the election. I was wondering what happened to him. He was very personable and smart.

—Pat Monroe, Fayetteville

A: Luke Russert resigned from NBC News and MSNBC suddenly in July 2016.

He had joined NBC News after graduating from Boston College in 2008, just weeks after his father, “Meet the Press” host Tim Russert, died in June 2008.

He was the host of MSNBC’s online series “The Briefing,” a guest host on MSNBC shows and served as “Meet the Press” panelist.

“It’s fair to say my broadcast career began in an unusual way after college graduation and the death of my father,” Russert wrote in a July 13, 2016 statement, which is posted at the top of his Twitter account (@LukeRussert). “As a result, I threw myself into the work and never took the time to reflect, to travel and to experience many things that would have given me a clearer sense of what my future should be. Now at 30, I look forward to taking some time away from political reporting and focusing my efforts on other endeavors I’ve long wanted to pursue.”

His last day was July 15, 2016.

Q: How does SunTrust Park have such lovely green grass at this time of year?

—Richard Grimes, Stockbridge

A: The grass is called "Seashore Paspalum, Platinum TE," the AJC previously reported.

“We started a year and a half ago and it’s been pampered and babied all the way to this weekend when we put it down,” Braves Field Director Ed Mangan told Channel 2 WSB-TV in March.
