Q: Some Bentley automobiles were stolen from Bentley Atlanta last December, and shortly thereafter, three were found at Hartsfield Airport. How many Bentleys were stolen, what models, model years, and were they new or used? How many have been recovered?
—Larry Donaldson, Acworth
A: Eight Bentleys were stolen from Bentley Atlanta in Alpharetta in December, and four were recovered later that month.
Three of the luxury automobiles were found in a parking lot at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Dec. 26 and another was located “in the vicinity” of Grady Memorial Hospital a few days after the theft, an Alpharetta Police Department spokesman told Q&A on the News.
The stolen Bentleys were new and model years 2014 and 2015. There were various models taken, and each one was driven off the lot at Bentley Atlanta on Westside Parkway.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is active, spokesman George Gordon said.
“I’ve been in law enforcement for more than 20 years and this is the first time I’ve ever heard (of this number of vehicles) being stolen (at one time),” he said.
