Q: Was it ever determined if Ronald Reagan dyed his hair? I know it was a big deal when he was president.

—Eddie Webster, Douglasville

A: Kitty Kelley, Nancy Reagan's biographer, wrote that a hairdresser had dyed Ronald Reagan's hair since 1968.

Ronald Reagan always claimed that his hair didn’t need to be colored, but the Los Angeles Times wrote in 2002 that it was gray after it grew back from being shaved for a 1989 surgery.
