Teachers, principals and other education officials are scheduled to participate in a school safety conference July 8-10 at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center in Athens.

The fifth annual Safety in Our Schools conference will be presented by the Georgia Emergency Management Agency, the Georgia Department of Education and U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia.

It will be open to administration officials, law enforcement officers, school counselors, school resource officers, public safety personnel and emergency management personnel. The registration fee will be $95, with exhibitors paying $100 per table, per day.
