We're keeping a close watch on Election Day in Georgia, and here are some tools that can help readers follow along.
The AJC is in partnership with a national election journalism project coordinated by Propublica and Google. The project, Electionland, includes journalists, civic journalists, students and others who are monitoring reports of election issues and questions. This interactive provides an up-to-the-minute snapshot of the national trends from Election Day 2016.
Closer to home, we have reporters and photographers working across metro Atlanta, visiting voting precincts and talking to voting officials and voters.
Another helpful website is Google Trends, which offers clues to what Georgians are asking and searching in conjunction with the election. In Georgia, voters have a number of local tax referendums, county commission, county school board elections. There's also a three-way race for U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson's seat that could end the day with a runoff.
Here's a snapshot of current election-related search trends for web users in Georgia.
Check back often today and tonight for Election Day 2016 updates and complete Georgia election results.
Polls are open until 7 p.m. As long as you are in line before 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.
