Civic organizations including the League of Women Voters of Georgia will hold a voter registration drive Tuesday, including a 9:30 a.m. rally at the state Capitol in Atlanta.

The drive coincides with a nationwide push to register voters in advance of the Nov. 5 election. The deadline to register to vote in Georgia is Oct. 7.

Voters may confirm their registration or find out how to register through the Georgia Secretary of State's Office: http://sos.georgia.gov/elections.

The league and others will also hold registration sign-ups Tuesday at, among other locations:

  • The Five Points MARTA station in Atlanta, 9 a.m.-noon; and 3-7 p.m.
  • The Norcross branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library system, 6025 Buford Highway, 5-8 p.m.
