Ten protesters, including state Sen. Vincent Fort, D-Atlanta, were arrested Monday in Gov. Nathan Deal’s office after refusing police orders to leave.

The protesters are part of a group called Moral Monday, who want Deal to agree to expand the state’s Medicaid program. Police had warned the protesters that anyone left in Deal’s office after 5 p.m. would be arrested.

There are protesters still outside the Capitol.
