There's no snow on the horizon according to the latest weather report, and this week's heavy rains are not expected to affect when students will have to show back up in the classroom.
They are probably counting the days until they have to go back.
Here, below, is when your students in public schools should be ready to start the second half of the year.
Metro Atlanta public schools will close their doors during the third week of December, sending more than half of Georgia’s 1.8 million students home to frolic, perhaps in snow or perhaps in T-shirts.
Though Georgia weather is uncertain, traffic will hopefully follow its normal pattern and chill out for the holidays, so people who must work will at least get a break on the roads.
Though all these school districts are closing within a few days of each other during the third week of December, they are returning in different weeks of January to accommodate teacher planning and training schedules or other local needs.
