Officials with Gwinnett County Public Schools are asking parents and members of the community to join GCPS staff in reviewing proposed curriculum materials. The public review begins next Monday, Sept. 9, and runs to Saturday, Sept. 21. GCPS holds an extensive review before adopting materials for classroom use. Materials submitted by publishers are reviewed by parents, community members, teachers, and administrators to ensure alignment with the school system’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum. The review covers student textbooks and associated teacher resources for grades K-5 and for two new high school mathematics courses. More info: 678-301-6828.
