Obama too worried about transgender issues

I would like to have President Barack Obama explain his sudden concern to protect transgenders. He hired one for the White House and wanted it publicized. He has ordered a special detention center for illegal transgenders so they would have a safe haven and nobody could make them feel bad. He wants bathrooms transitioned all over the United States so transgenders are not offended.

I have absolutely no problem with transgenders. It is strictly a personal choice that should not concern anybody but them, so why is the President involved? He needs to come clean and tell us the real deal. He also needs to re-read his job description and follow the rules.

Science is inconclusive on fetal pain

In the AJC on May 26, I was disappointed, not surprised, to find that Georgia lawmakers are yet again making it harder for women to have a choice in their health care decisions. Lawmakers say that a fetus that has developed for 20 weeks is capable of feeling pain and needs the state to protect it. The science behind this medical research is amazing. The lawmakers who have such an incredible understanding of this science are overwhelmingly Republicans.

Wait a minute, is this the same party that refuses to accept the science behind global climate change? We have record high temperatures, melting ice caps, and an unprecedented drought as well as 100-year floods. This has been studied for decades by the greatest minds on the planet and these lawmakers refuse to accept the findings of 80 percent of all climate scientists. I’m not sure I believe these lawmakers — the science behind this fetal pain is inconclusive.
