Homeless’ plight shows continuing Atlanta problem
Atlanta clearly has a problem housing all its people. You see many people of all races and genders asking for work or money, mostly money. Often, you can see their sleeping arrangements under a bridge or behind some bushes, most of the time somewhat protected against the weather. If you walk around downtown, you see many people, clearly homeless, with no place to go or even sit. If you engage people living on the edge, often they will say they need money to get a room in a shelter. This is the only place a street person can go to get a warm bed and clean up. It doesn’t take a saint to feel like more should be done, but for the city, the solution has been to bust up sleeping areas, arrest the poor for having nothing but their lives, and provide shelter only under the worst conditions.

Trump’s falsehoods don’t help American people
To anyone who believes President Trump’s false promises, I have tropical beachfront property in Nome, Alaska, to sell you. Trump is an egomaniac, a born-again liar. He has no knowledge of foreign policy, loves dictators like his puppet master Putin, and hates leaders of democratic governments like Canada and Germany, to cite a few examples. He won’t do anything about the opiate crisis or the high cost, and rising, of prescription drugs because big pharma has the executive and legislative branches of the government at the state and federal level bought and paid for. Plus, Trump has a former president/CEO of one of the big pharma companies as secretary of Health and Human Services. The economic gains are going to the top 10 percent (especially the top 1/2 of one percent) while the bottom 90 percent, including the vanishing middle class, work harder and longer without a living wage.
