Ga. needs renewable energy not fossil fuels
The state’s decision to halt the Palmetto Pipeline project is a great move for our environment and could also be a great move for our economy. Why spend a billion dollars to expand fossil fuel infrastructure at a time when fuel consumption is decreasing and the cost of clean, renewable energy is also going down?
The pipeline decision came shortly before the U.S. Department of Energy announced participation in the Clean Line transmission project, which will deliver more than 4,000 megawatts of low-cost, high-quality wind power to 1.5 million homes and businesses in the BSoutheast.
Georgia should get on board with renewable technologies like this because they’re safer, more cost-effective and add value and security to the electric grid. And when we use solar and wind power, the fuel itself will always be free.
Our future doesn’t lie in old, dirty coal plants, natural gas, or oil.

The rich manipulate taxes for their own ends
The recent release of the Panama Papers exposing how the rich hide their money is not news to most American.
The real news is how our national news media has failed in investigating how the rich and soon-to-be rich politicians in our government have written into law exorbitant benefits unavailable to the average American.
A good example is how Obama has showered his rich supporters with largesse taken from the tax payer for non productive “investments” that have mostly gone bankrupt. Most of Obama’s so called “stimulus’s” have benefited his rich and super rich supporters that has been virtually ignored by the main stream press. Why?
Add to these boondoggles how the ruling class has manipulated our tax laws to benefit themselves, Charitable Trusts, etc.
