One of the education stories in the media of late deals with homework horrors, tales of students spending three hours a night on homework. But a new report challenges that notion, citing little change in the time American students spend hitting the books after school. I discuss the homework wars today; readers also offer their views. In a guest column, the head of early childhood efforts in Georgia discusses  where the state needs to go next to ensure our youngest learners are ready for school.
