An unidentified newspaper vendor managed to get locked inside a wooden newspaper stand during a recent heatwave in Los Angeles.
Someone heard groaning from the wooden newsstand Monday afternoon and notified police who arrived to check out the situation.
The severely malnourished and dehydrated man was cut from the box where he had reportedly been trapped for four days.
He had to be carried from the stand and taken to a hospital for treatment.
It's believed that the vendor endured 90-degree heat and with no access to food or water during his ordeal.
