When a woman realized that she wouldn't need to wear her wedding dress ever again, she decided to donate it to a charity that turns donated dresses into tiny gowns for for babies who are stillborn, or die shortly after birth.
Yuvonne Trimble shared photos of the dresses made by the English charity Cherished Gowns for Angel Babies to her Facebook page where they went viral.
"Yesterday they sent me pictures of what they had made with my dress and a mix of emotions swept over me when I received them; pride that I'd done something good, sadness that it's necessary for these gowns to have to be made, relief that I've never known this heartbreak, and a sense of thankfulness that volunteers around the country give up their time to produce such comforting garments," wrote Trimble.
She said she shared the photos in hopes to inspire other women to donate their gowns as well.
Within just a few days, the charity was overwhelmed with donations from all around the world. A message on their website says they are currently not accepting new donations, however they have set up a waiting list.
Yuvonne has been married to her husband, Richard, since 1995.
She told The Sun that she knew she would never need to wear it again.
"I'd already married the man of my dreams," said Yuvonne.
Yuvonne is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland. She is now retired and lives in Cyprus with her husband.
