A California woman used canned food to kill her boyfriend Tuesday, according to investigators.
Police say Linda Jackson, 59, used cans of peas, carrots, and chicken broth to beat David Ruiz, 59, to death.
Ruiz was in Jackson's house when the attack took place. Deputy District Attorney Jon Hatami told KNBC there is no clear motive in the case.
Jackson has been charged with murder, but her original arraignment was put off when Jackson had a medical emergency.
Jackson's bail is expected to be set at more than $1 million. She faces life in prison if convicted.
