The Colorado woman who used Craigslist to lure a pregnant woman to her home, where she is accused of cutting the baby from the pregnant woman’s belly, will not be charged with murder.

The Boulder County District Attorney's Office has charged Lane with attempted murder, first and second degree assault and unlawful termination of a pregnancy, per 9 News.

The brutal attack has revived the debate over when a fetus can legally be considered a human being.

Lane is expected to be formally charged on Friday.
