When she tried to leave, she said Carroll would hit her and she did have injuries on her jaw and nose, WAVE reported.

The man and woman had gone to the Walmart for food and while they were shopping, she was able to run, telling employees she needed help to hide from Carroll, which she did until law enforcement got to the store, according to WAVE.

Carroll was arrested and faces charges of assault, domestic violence and unlawful imprisonment.
