Surveillance video from a gas station shows an out of control SUV plowing through a fence and into a car sitting at a gas pump in Federal Way, KIRO7 reported.

The wild collision happened at the ARCO station on Pacific Highway South at 272nd Street shortly before 2 a.m. Monday.

Video shows the SUV speed into the intersection at 272nd, roll through a fence, and then hit a car parked at a gas pump. The gas pump was knocked over and the SUV landed on its side, trapping the driver.

A police officer in the area heard the crash and raced over to find out what happened.

Police said at first the driver of the SUV was unresponsive, but by the time firefighters arrived, he was conscious.

The driver of the car that was hit was inside the gas station's store when the crash happened.

Firefighters had cut the driver out of the SUV. He was then transported to the hospital. His condition is not known.

Video shows crash happened just 25 seconds after the driver of the car at the pump went inside the gas station to pay.

The driver said it was lucky that he happened to be paying with cash. If he was paying at the pump with a card, he would have been pumping gas when the crash happened.
