After 12 seasons and more than 250 episodes, "Two and a Half Men" aired its series finale Thursday night.
And, of course, Charlie Harper had to make one last appearance before the show ended for good. Well, kind of.
"I'm telling you, Charlie's alive," said Alan on "Two and a Half Men."
"Oh, good. Then I don't have to tell you," said Rose.
Yes, everyone thought Charlie, played by Charlie Sheen, got hit by a train in Paris on his honeymoon and died at the end of season eight.
But after some investigating, Alan, Walden and the rest of the "Men" crew discovered Charlie's wife and stalker, Rose, actually kidnapped him and stuck him in a pit in her basement, "Silence of the Lambs" style.
But, naturally, Charlie escaped his dungeon fate when Rose wasn't looking and started torturing everyone he knew with threatening text messages and emails. Because, you know, it's Charlie.
"Two and a Half Men" executive producer and co-creator Chuck Lorre told Zap2it he just had to bring Charlie back from the dead for the final episode. "It would be inappropriate here to not acknowledge the extraordinary success we had with Charlie and how grateful I am to his contribution."
But we gotta say, the Charlie Harper references weren't the only thing that made the "Men" finale awesome.
There were too many awesome Charlie Sheen references to count ...
"And cover you in tiger's blood," said Walden.
And some not-so-subtle references to the long-standing show's ending...
"I can't wait for this to be over," said Walden.
And did we mention Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Stamos and Christian Slater all made hysterical cameos? Um, yeah, winning.
Now, we won't spoil the finale's epic ending for you.
But as a writer for TVLine so perfectly noted, "'Two and a Half Men' ended with a big, crude and unapologetically vulgar finale. In other words, it ended the only way it knew how."
