A turkey hoping to avoid becoming someone's dinner for Thanksgiving decided it would seek refuge inside an Orlando church.
According to UPI.com, St. Luke's United Methodist Church posted a picture to its Facebook page showing the feathered fugitive outside the church trying to get in. A church employee even livestreamed the turkey on Periscope as it walked around the church grounds and peeked inside windows.
"Maybe he is thankful that he is a wild turkey and not in the frozen section of a supermarket now," wrote one commenter.
Church members got a kick of the determined turkey's efforts and hope he lives a long life.
Said another commenter, "If President Obama won't pardon him, maybe Jesus will!"
