A 3-year-old gave his father a big headache over the weekend when he tried to unlock an iPad.

It seems the toddler entered the wrong password so many times the device locked up, displaying a message that it was “disabled,” according to Evan Osnos.

“Try again in 25, 536, 442 minutes,” a message on the screen read. That’s a half century.

Osnos, a staff writer for The New Yorker, posted a photo of the screen to social media asking for help on getting back into the iPad.

“Uh, this looks fake but, alas, it’s our iPad today after 3-year-old tried (repeatedly) to unlock. Ideas?” Osnos posted on Twitter.

It took a couple days, but Osnos got the information he needed to get back into the device, and he probably learned a valuable lesson in the process about not leaving valuables within reach of toddlers.
