Thrift shop treasure hunter looks to reconnect found photos with original owners

Thrift Shop Treasure Hunter Searching For Family In Photos

A California thrift shop treasure hunter and camera aficionado has a mystery on his hands: Who were the people captured on the film that was still inside the vintage camera he bought?

Josh Bohart, 18, loves collecting vintage cameras. He goes to Goodwill every other day and finds one about once a week, he told KXTV.

Two weeks ago, he found an Argus C3 and paid $8 for it. When he opened it, he found that there was film loaded in it.

Bohart contacted a company that specializes in developing vintage film, processing it and then scanning the images, KXTV reported.

The camera collector was amazed by the quality of the photos that had been sitting in the camera, undeveloped, for more than 50 years.

Bohart has posted the photos to Facebook hoping to find the owners or their descendants and get the photos to where they belong.
