A Canadian radio host is making Americans a generous offer if Donald Trump is elected president.

Rob Calabrese, a radio host based on the Canadian island of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, created the website "Cape Breton if Donald Trump Wins" Monday and said it was done in response to a claim many Americans make during election periods.

"Every American election, you have a group of people, usually Democrats, who say, 'That's it, I'm moving to Canada,' if a Republican wins," Calabrese told CBC News. "If you're going to move to Canada, why not move to Cape Breton?"

The site features images of the island's landscape, events and wildlife.

There are also tongue-in-cheek captions enticing visitors to move to the island.

"See for yourself, you belong here with us on Cape Breton Island, where healthcare is free, you know your neighbours and they look out for you, and nobody has a handgun," the site says.

"We're living on an island where the population is decreasing," Calabrese told The Huffington Post Canada. "As a joke, we thought of it to maybe get the word out there that, 'Hey, you should come here.'"

Calabrese said he has gotten a lot of serious interest since the site launched Monday afternoon, and he plans to help those who want to move transition as much as he can.

The radio host is not a fan of Trump himself.

"(He is) a scary possibility," Calabrese said. "I definitely wouldn't want him as the leader of my country."

Calabrese is encouraging people to move to Cape Breton because its population is so low.

Decline in mining and fishing industries have led many residents to move.

"It is a good place to live, a beautiful place," Calabrese said. "The people are great; we just need more people."
