1. Arrest of Oregon occupiers: One man was killed and one injured after gunfire erupted when police – during a traffic stop -- arrested the leaders of the group occupying a wildlife refuge in Oregon. Ammon Bundy and his brother, along with six others were arrested as they headed to a community meeting to speak to area residents about federal land management and their occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. The man killed was said to be the group's spokesperson, Arizona rancher Robert "LaVoy" Finicum, according to his daughter.
2. Trump to skip debate: Donald Trump says he will not take part in Thursday's Republican debate because does not believe Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly will treat him fairly. On Tuesday, Trump said Kelly had been "toying with him," and he called her "a lightweight" before his campaign manager announced he would not take part in the debate.
3. Principal dies: An elementary school principal was killed Tuesday as she pushed students to safety when a bus jumped the curb at an Indiana school. The bus driver said she is not sure what happened as the bus rolled up over the curb and headed toward students in line to board the bus to go home. Principal Susan Jordan died at the scene. Two children were injured.
4. Manning inquiry: The NFL says it is looking into a news organizations allegations that Peyton Manning used human growth hormones. According to a spokesman for the league, the NFL is reviewing records and conducting interviews into the allegations launched by Al Jazeera that claim Manning's wife took delivery of the banned substances at the couple's home. Manning has denied the allegations. Manning and the Denver Broncos will take on the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl on Feb. 7.
5. Shooting at homeless camp: Police say two people were killed and five wounded after a shooting at a homeless camp in Seattle Tuesday. The suspects fled the homeless encampment called the "Jungle" after the shots were fired, authorities said.

Abe Vigoda, who starred in the "The Godfather" and as detective Phil Fish in the TV series "Barney Miller," died Tuesday at his daughter's home. Vigoda made his living on the New York stage before his role in "The Godfather" opened doors for him in Hollywood. Vigoda was dogged for nearly 30 years by a false report of his death. He once told a story about a salesman who told him he looked like the actor Abe Vigoda, but that he couldn't be him because, "he's dead."
