What to know now:
1. More Clinton emails released: The State Department released nearly 8,000 emails Monday sent and received by Hillary Clinton during her time as secretary of state. According to reports, the batch contained 328 emails that are said to have contained classified information. That brings the total number of emails so far found to have classified information to 999. The State Department is reviewing some 30,000 emails Clinton sent and received on a private email server installed in her New York home.
2. Troops to Syria: According to a story from USA Today, senior defense officials are considering deploying additional special operations troops to Syria to help in the fight against the Islamic State. This comes on the heels of an announcement in November that 50 commandos would be sent to the country as advisers. Officials say if that program shows success, the additional troops will likely be sent.
3. Trump tells CNN to pony-up: Donald Trump says he may demand that CNN pay $5 million to a charity if they want him to participate in the next Republican presidential debate. According to Trump, the network should pay the money because it "doesn't treat me properly," and, he told a crowd in Macon, Ga., Monday, because he was responsible for the big ratings the network enjoyed during the first GOP debate it sponsored.
4. V-Tech hack: Hackers have stolen information on nearly 5 million adults and children after they attacked the digital toy maker VTech, according to the company. The information was taken in an attack on a portal used to download games to computer tablets. The website Motherboard reported that chat logs and photos were stolen from the accounts of more than 200,000 children.
5. Campus threat arrest: Police have arrested a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago after online threats he made led authorities to cancel classes there Monday. Jabari Dean, an engineering student at the school, was arrested Monday. Law enforcement authorities say Dean's threats of violence at the campus were linked to the police shooting of Laquan McDonald.

Sixty years ago Tuesday, seamstress Rosa Parks was arrested in Montgomery, Ala., after she refused to give up her seat on a city bus to a white man who wanted to sit down. Her defiance of that city's segregation laws that day would help fuel the civil rights movement in America. There will be commemorations across the country Tuesday honoring Parks, with an event in Montgomery attended by Hillary Clinton.
