A new study has found a link between some cancers and alcohol consumption.

According to the online journal Addiction, researchers found that alcohol can cause cancer in seven sites, including the colon, the liver and the breasts, and could contribute to cancers in other areas of the body.

They said it could be at a rate of 5.8 percent.

Experts found that if drinkers give up alcohol, they can reverse the risk of laryngeal, pharyngeal and liver cancer, The Guardian reported.
