Taylor Swift makes big donation for fan's cancer treatment

Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" is a lot of things for a lot of people, be it a favorite song, coping song or summer song.

For 11-year-old Naomi Oakes, it's her theme song.

Oakes is battling acute myleoid leukemia, which she was diagnosed with on June 25.

Her cancer must be treated aggressively, which means she can't leave the hospital during the duration of her treatment, which can last from six to nine months, according to a YouTube video her family made. That also means she has to miss Swift's Aug. 18 concert in Phoenix, which was her Christmas present.

The family created the video to catch Swift's attention and get her to, at the very least, acknowledge #TeamNaomi on the star's Instagram.

Well, the video got to Taylor Swift, and while she hasn't acknowledged it on her social media pages, she did much more.

Swift donated $50,000 to Oakes' GoFundMe page in four separate payments.

With each donation she said, "To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I'm sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let's focus on getting you feeling better. I'm sending the biggest hugs to you and your family."
