A tip helped officers catch a woman on Friday, who is accused of driving high with a 7-year-old inside her vehicle.
Broken Arrow police received a tip about a woman possibly shooting up near East 121st and South Elm. The caller told dispatch they were worried about the young child inside the vehicle with the woman.
When officers arrived at the scene, they spotted Kaila Bloss' vehicle pulling out of a parking lot. Moments later, a traffic stop was initiated.
Police say Bloss denied taking drugs or drinking, while being questioned. When officers found a fresh track mark on her arm, Bloss told officers she had recently donated plasma.
After being given a field sobriety test, Bloss was taken into custody. The child was picked up by a family member.
Officers ended up finding heroin inside her purse and there were three syringes inside the police car, where Bloss had been sitting.
Bloss was taken to the Tulsa County Jail. She faces multiple counts including child endangerment and DUI drugs.
