Noor Zahi Salman, the wife of Orlando shooting suspect Omar Mateen, is being considered for possible criminal charges, officials say.
Salman provided a written statement to the FBI that she knew about her husband's plan to carry out a mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, a source tells WFTV's Karla Ray.
WFTV also found out that the couple visited a Disney theme park in April.
According to a law enforcement source, Disney officials said that the couple might have been casing the venue.
The source said an arrest is possible, but if the woman continues to cooperate with investigators by providing them information, she might not be arrested.
Officials said Omar Mateen also cased Disney Springs and Pulse between June 1 and 6.
Authorities said Omar Mateen had five Facebook accounts, and was the target of law enforcement and the FBI searches.
Law enforcement said in May that Omar Mateen conducted online searches of the San Bernadino shooters, Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik
Authorities said from June 12 to the day of the shooting, Omar Mateen conducted an online search of Pulse.
According to the Associated Press, an unnamed official said the FBI has Omar Mateen's phone and will try to use data from it to see if he had visited the club before.
Salman lived in Rodeo, California before marrying Mateen in 2013, according to the San Jose Mercury News. According to The Associated Press, an Aug. 30, 2013, property deed in Saint Lucie County, Florida, identified Salman and Mateen as a married couple.
Family members said the pair had a 3-year-old son.
Salman reportedly only returned home once during her marriage to Mateen, which was for the death of her father. According to the San Jose Mercury News, Mateen would not let Salman visit her family. A similar claim was made by Mateen's first wife, Sitora Yusufiy.
