A Russian-American lobbyist says he attended the 2016 meeting between a Russian lawyer and Donald Trump Jr., according to a story from The Associated Press.

The lobbyist, Rinat Akhmetshin, said he was at the meeting with attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya, Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, and Paul Manafort, who, at the time, was the campaign manager.

The meeting took place at Trump Tower in June 2016.

Trump Jr. did not disclose the fact Akhmetshin had attended the meeting, saying first he believed the meeting to be about Russian adoption, then released emails that showed he knew beforehand that the meeting was called to discuss damaging information about his father’s presidential campaign rival, Hillary Clinton.

NBC News is also reporting that the Russian-born American Akhmetshin was at the meeting. Akhmetshin served in the Soviet military and emigrated to the U.S., where he holds dual citizenship, NBC reported.
