A roll of toilet paper turned out to be a key piece of evidence in a pizza shop robbery in Pennsylvania.

Police said the man went to Micheal Maria’s in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Saturday and handed a cashier a note written on a piece of toilet paper.

The note, according to investigators, said, “I have a gun. Give me $300.”

The employee was able to hit a silent alarm, which notified police.

When officers arrived, Eric Frey was still inside the business. Investigators said Frey told them that an armed man threatened to shoot him if he didn’t deliver the note.

Police didn’t believe what Frey told them, so they went to his home and found a roll of toilet paper with indentations in it, reading exactly what was on the note.

Officers said the pen Frey used was also located directly next to the roll.

Frey remains in jail.
