According to KMSP, Amanda Eggert and her boyfriend, Jason Roth, were allegedly drunk when Hahn approached the Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, couple.

They had their 9-year-old daughter drive them home Jan. 31 when they were too drunk to do so.

A early Breathlyzer test from Roth came back at 0.25, more than three times the legal limit, according to Fox 9.

Hahn also saw the couple's 11-month-old baby boy in a car seat.

Eggert and Roth pleaded not guilty to felony charges that included child neglect and second-degree recklessly endangering safety.

The pair remain in jail as they await trial.

"As the 9-year-old exited the truck, it was still running and in drive when Mr. Roth was sitting in the truck by himself," Hahn testified in court. "He turned the ignition off and the truck began rolling backwards down the hill towards the river. I jumped into the truck to hit the brakes and put the truck in park."

The 9-year-old drove the truck for miles without getting into an accident or causing injuries.

The children are staying with extended family.
