The ice bucket challenge was designed to be a fun way to raise money for a serious disease. The fundraiser for ALS has been the viral hit of the summer.

But for one Ohio teenager with autism, the ice bucket challenge turned out to be a stomach-turning incident, according to his mother.

Fox 8 reports that the boy's mother, Diane, who declined to provide her last name to protect her son's identity, discovered a video taken on her son's cellphone. The video reportedly shows her son, wearing only underwear, standing in a driveway. A bucket placed on top of the garage is turned over, spilling contents that appear too dark to just be ice water.

The bucket allegedly held a mixture of bodily fluids, including urine, feces and saliva, along with cigarette butts.

Diane's son was embarrassed and confused and didn’t want anyone to find out about the incident.

After filming the incident, the perpetrators allegedly posted the video on Instagram.

Police have just begun their investigation, but say that the incident should not be considered merely a prank but potentially a crime.

Police say it could take a few weeks before any charges are filed.

The victim’s family wants the video of the incident to be shared so they can raise awareness of bullying.
