Police responded early Thursday morning to a report of an active shooter at the Navy Yard in Washington D.C.

The campus was on lockdown, but the area was declared all clear about mid-morning.

A Navy Yard employee made a 911 call about hearing possible gunshots, which prompted the potential active shooter alert at the Navy Yard.

Searches were conducted, but no shooter was found, and there were no injuries.

The Navy Yard was the site of a mass shooting in September of 2013, when a man named Aaron Alexis shot and killed 12 people in Building 197, according to the Associated Press. Police later shot and killed him.
