An Iowa man who was secretly recorded inflicting a vicious attack on a pit bull has animal rights advocates outraged.

Keegan Bucklin, 23, was charged with animal neglect after a neighbor witnessed and recorded the beating that lasted 10 minutes and captured Bucklin kicking, hitting and even body-slamming the pit bull to the ground.

The dog does not appear to be aggressive in the video, but instead cowers and tries to limp away from Bucklin, according to KCCI.

The dog did not suffer life-threatening injuries and is being cared for by local animal control officials. A second dog was removed from the home.

Neighbors report that Bucklin is known for being violent and aggressive to people and animals. He has since bonded out of jail.
