A New Jersey waitress did not get the tip she was expecting.
Instead of money, Jess Jones said she received a message from a party of eight that she recently served at D'Jais Bar & Grill.
The total for food and drink was just over $112, or an average of $14 a person.
But Jones said there was no tip on the receipt.
Instead, a message was left that read "1 hour for food LOL," according to the photo Jones is credited for posting. The page has since been taken down.
The Asbury Park Press, however, posted the image of the receipt on its Twitter page.
Jones is working at the bar to put herself through Rutgers University.
Jones said she would have preferred a zero written in the tip line instead of the LOL, The Asbury Park Press reported.
"Even though they did wait an hour to eat, they remained satisfied with filled drinks and proper notice that the kitchen was a bit busier than normal," Jones said.
She wrote online that servers in New Jersey earn $2.50 an hour, below minimum wage.
Non-tipped workers must be paid the state's $8.38 minimum wage, according to New Jersey law.
