Parents won't have an excuse for their kids being late to soccer practice if they are dropped off in Lamborghini's SUV, planned for production and release in 2018.
Automobili Lamborghini confirmed plans Wednesday for the luxury vehicle, which was first unveiled as the Lamborghini Urus at the 2012 Beijing auto show.

It is the company's third line of vehicle, which also includes super cars like the 600 hp Huracan and the 700 hp Aventador.
"This is a proud moment for everybody in Lamborghini," Stephan Winkelmann, company president, said in a release. "The introduction of a third model line endorses the stable and sustainable growth of the company and signifies for us the beginning of a new era."
Lamborghini plans to hire 500 employees and expand its Sant’Agata Bolognese facility, where the SUV will be built.
The company expects to sell about 3,000 of the vehicles throughout the United States, China, the Middle East and the United Kingdom.
