The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air made an appearance where you might least expect him: C-SPAN.
Well, sort of.
A prank caller going by the name of "Jack Strickland" made it past the call screeners to presumably give his opinion about Congress and Iran negotiations.
But instead of commenting on politics and world affairs, the man began to tell his story of being a young man living in Bel-air, California but hailing from Philadelphia.
"I just wanted to make it clear, first of all, I'm calling from Bel-Air, Calif., but I am originally from Philadelphia. Specifically, West Philadelphia," he opens, "I was actually discussing this issue with a friend of mine recently, while I was in Philly."
He continued, "It occurred on a basketball court. At some point during the conversation, a couple of guys who were up to no good essentially started causing trouble in my neighborhood."
It was then that the network began to have the famous theme song play in their heads and quickly realized what was going on, cutting the caller from the air.
One wonders just how much more of the theme song Strickland had scripted out had the producers let him carry on.
