A Minnesota man received a kind note from a stranger after spending the morning at a coffee shop with his daughter.
David Rosenman posted on his Facebook page that he took his daughter to a coffee shop on Sunday. At his 9-year-old daughter's request, the two put aside their usual busywork and just spent the morning together, talking about their interests and sharing stories.
Before the father and daughter left, Rosenman went to the counter to get a to-go snack for his son. When he returned to the table, there was a note left face-down in front of his seat. His daughter said the note had been left by a woman who had asked if the girl had been sitting with her father all morning.
This is what the note said:
I work at a school where many daughters don't have fathers & those who do have never in their lives had him watch + listen + devote 100% of his attention to her for so long as you did on one Sunday morning. You have no idea what a gift you are giving to all the teachers who are responsible for educating her from now until she graduates.
Rosenman shared the note with a reminder to be present today and to take the time to pay attention to your loved ones.
