Following the discovery of four dead puppies in a Tennessee home on June 5, deputies discovered 37 bags that are believed to be decomposed dogs. The discovery was made in the barn of a woman who claims she is running a nonprofit that rescues dogs and trains them for disabled soldiers.
Nicole Hulbig and Eric Hulbig, her estranged husband, were arrested on four counts of aggravated animal cruelty on Thursday after officers discovered the decomposing puppies.
Hours after the discovery of the four dead puppies, deputies found 37 bags containing animal remains. In the same barn they found 37 living dogs who were reportedly all in poor condition.
