Buddy is deaf. She has arthritis.
But the 13-year old golden retriever looked and acted just like a puppy after being reunited recently with her owner who was away at Army basic training for three months.
"Buddy came running, as best as she could, out of the house and said hello to everyone," Foraker told Fox 8. "At first she didn't even realize I was there, but she did a double take and came bounding over to me whining nonstop in pure glee."
Pvt. Hannah Foraker joined the Army in September, according to Fox 8. She graduated from basic training and was transferred to Fort Sam Houston in Texas.
She was on leave in Cleveland briefly. Buddy followed Foraker around for those two weeks, according to ABC News.
"I wish I would had taken photos of us while I was home because I've just recently been informed that I won't be able to go home again until next Christmas," Foraker told Fox 8. "A lot can happen in a year, but Buddy is a fighter."
