A Denver hair salon is doing its part to bring dads and daughters a little closer.
In an event called "Beer and Braids" at Envoge salon, fathers learned how to help do their daughters' hair.
Salon owner Calli Hueble-Bodilis told KDVR that she came up with the idsa to help get dads more involved in their daughters' lives.
One dad said it would come in handy because he gets his daughter ready for school in the morning.
"This is a great opportunity, because I don't listen to my wife when she tries to teach me, so it's nice to get to listen to somebody else and learn how to do this," Tom Reimann told KDVR.
The dads learned three different styles. The dad with the best technique, won a six-pack of beer.
The event was so popular that the salon has another "Beer and Braids" set for November.
