What do you do when you’re out in town overnight and there’s nothing to do, especially when you’re a bear?

You can tip over garbage cans, or you can window shop.

Yes, you read that right.

A Placer County Sheriff’s deputy found a bear that could have been casing his latest crime, or perhaps preparing for a big advertised sale.

But before the bear caused any damage, the officer shined a light on the bear and  told him, “Hey, big boy! Don’t be breaking into any of them businesses.”

The whole thing was caught on tape and posted to Facebook.

The bear stops what he was doing and crosses in front of Deputy Don Nevins'a car before running off to a park, The Associated Press reported.

Officials with the sheriff's department said they frequently get calls about bears breaking into homes, cars and businesses. The bears are getting ready to hibernate, so they're looking for food before their winter slumber, The AP reported.
